The tragic death of Hana Kimura has given many a desire to see more respect shown toward their fellow man and an end to bullying and cyberbullying overall.
Io Shirai, NXT Superstar from Japan who has a history with Kimura, spoke openly with Sports Illustrated about what she would like Hana Kimura’s legacy to be and what she hopes to see from society in the aftermath of her passing.
“Hana was one of the most talented female wrestlers in the world, and I was looking forward to watching her grow to see how far she could go,” Io began. "I will always remember her smile that would brighten up any room she walked into. It is so important that we all love and treat each other with respect.”
Mauro Ranallo also paid tribute to Kimura on the episode of NXT following her passing, with a touching tribute denouncing cyberbullying.
