The Iron Sheik's cause of death has been revealed.

Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, better known as The Iron Sheik, passed away at the age of 81 on June 7. Tributes from around the wrestling world immediately poured in for the legend, as he was a renowned for his contributions to the business.

TMZ Sports obtained the WWE Hall of Famer's death certificate and reported that he died of cardiac arrest. This manner of death was ruled to be natural. Officials noted that Sheik suffered from congestive heart failure as well as hypertension prior to his passing.

The Iron Sheik had a legendary career, as he held the WWF World Heavyweight Championship and lost the title to Hulk Hogan in a match that somewhat launched Hulkamania. He also memorably teamed up Nikolai Volkoff to win the WWF World Tag Team Championship.
