Bianca Belair regains the title. Briefly.
Bianca Belair won the WWE Women's Championship at WWE SummerSlam, defeating Asuka and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match.
However, her reign was short-lived as IYO SKY ran down and cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase. SKY went after Belair's bad knee and then hit her with the briefcase before the cash in was official. SKY hit her top rope moonsault on Belair and won the WWE Women's Championship.
During the triple threat bout, Belair was favoring her knee throughout and then clutched her knee agyer being dumped to the outside by Charlotte. Medical officials rushed down to check on Bianca and they tried to help her to the back, but she ended up getting back into the match, hitting a 450 splash on Charlotte to break up a Figure 8.
At the end of the match, Asuka misted Charlotte and Belair rolled up Asuka to win the title.
Almost immediately, IYO's music hit and she ran down to cash in the briefcase. Bayley ensured Charlotte and Asuka couldn't get involved by hitting them with the briefcase.
Dakota Kai celebrated with IYO and Bayley after the title victory.

This marks the first reign as WWE Women's Champion for IYO SKY. Belair saw her second reign last just minutes. Asuka's reign lasted 70 days. She made two successful title defenses, but had no clean victories during her run (one no contest, one win by DQ).
Damage CTRL (IYO, Bayley, & Kai) formed at WWE SummerSlam 2022.
