The first challenger to Nick Aldis' NWA World Heavyweight championship is the last person you'd expect.
Aldis came out at tonight's Championship Wrestling From Hollywood tapings and issued a challenge to anyone who was either a World's champion or someone who has beaten a World's champion. That was James Ellsworth's cue to come out.
The two are scheduled to meet later tonight during the tapings.
Ellsworth does meet the critera as he's beaten AJ Styles in the past. He eventually received a WWE title shot from that win, where he quickly lost.n
He was with the WWE for over a year before behind released back in November. His 90 day no compete clause ran up recently.
