JBL Believes Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena At WrestleMania For WWE Title Is The Biggest Match In Wrestling

John Bradshaw Layfield discusses the impending end of John Cena's wrestling career.

JBL is closely tied to John Cena's rise. Twenty years ago, Cena defeated Bradshaw at WWE WrestleMania 21 to capture his first WWE Championship. Now, Cena is preparing for his final WrestleMania as he plans to retire at the end of 2025.

Speaking on the most recent episode of the Something to Wrestle podcast, Bradshaw revealed that he would like to see John Cena defeat, Cody Rhodes, and break Ric Flair's World Championship record, capturing his 17th WWE Championship to end his career. He also believes that Randy Orton or Roman Reigns would be good opponents for Cena to end his career with.

"I'd love to see Cody. Obviously. I'd love to see against Cody for the title. I think that's the biggest matchup in wrestling. I think it'd be fantastic. I think those two guys, they're both very smart guys, and I think that would be absolutely incredible. But if it's Randy, if it's Brock, if it's Roman, I mean, Cena is not going to have a bad match, I promise you that. All those guys I mentioned can really work. But I'd love to see him against Cody, you know, headline WrestleMania for the title. Nobody knows what's going to happen. Is he going to break the famous record or not? I think that'd be incredible."
