JBL's Clotheslining arm was triggered by Joe Hendry, who entered the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble.
John Bradshaw Layfield commented on Joe Hendry entering the 2025 Royal Rumble. Speaking on the most recent episode of the Something To Wrestle podcast, JBL joked that he was ready to Clothesline the current TNA Wrestling World Champion. Bradshaw has been prone to Clotheslining individuals during TNA World Title Matches recently.
Bradshaw also praised Hendry as the biggest thing outside of WWE right now.
"I almost Clotheslined my cat because there was nothing else around. I thought, 'I'm Clotheslining somebody.' I was so ready to hit the ring on Joe Hendry," JBL joked. "It's a great partnership, and it shows the appeal of Joe Hendry. Joe Hendry is, I've said this many times, is the biggest star outside of WWE. There's some great ones out there. Matt Riddle, Nick Nemeth. Joe Hendry has really built this name for himself. I think it's just incredible what he's done, and yes, the Clothesline was getting warmed up."
JBL wasn't done, though. He joked that he would be the reason people sang about the day the music died.
"I'm gonna knock his Scottish head off. That is what I'm gonna do. The day the music died. That's what they're gonna do when I hit Joe Henry with that clothesline finally. They're gonna play the day the music died."
