Jeff Jarrett On WWE Working With Other Companies: The Business Has Radically Changed

Jeff Jarrett loves seeing the way the business is changing.

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett has seen the wrestling industry change a lot over the years. Recently, the business has continued to evolve, as WWE is working with other companies, as seen with their collaboration with TNA and AJ Styles being announced for NOAH Destination 2024.

Speaking on his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett was asked to comment on WWE working with other companies, with AJ Styles possibly returning to TNA as part of a crossover now seeming possible. Jarrett was also asked about Jeff Hardy and other stars being in TNA now.

“I guess this happens when you’ve been around 37, 38 years. When I think back to the Attitude Era, when it was just, I mean the Yankees and the Red Sox. No other team existed. It was WWF or WCW. Nothing [else] existed. Yeah, ECW was kind of there and all that, and then the TNA days, we had our working relationship, the Okada story is obviously a part of that, but we had a relationship with New Japan and AAA and then a little bit with CMLL, and the Global Force didn’t take off but that whole vision, and AEW and New Japan, and the Forbidden Door concept, that’s coming in. But at the very end of that line, you look at WWE and now they’re working specifically with a Japanese company, another American company, you just kind of look at the world of professional wrestling and you’ve got, on the one hand, a presidential candidate being interviewed by the US Champion. Yeah, he’s a YouTuber and a big star. But when you look at a Trump doing a podcast [with] the WWE US Champion, and you look at AJ Styles going back to a place that he literally started that, that was unheard of a generation ago, just completely unheard of. Matt and Jeff [Hardy], those guys there [in TNA]…would have ever thought you’d see Nic Nemeth in a TNA ring? The business has radically changed. I mean the Netflix deal coming up, it’s just changed in a positive way. I love all the feel-good moments, absolutely I love it," Jarrett said.
