Jinder Mahal Announces Opponent For WWE's Upcoming India Tour

Jinder Mahal has announced his opponent for when he goes to India this December.

The WWE champion on Twitter announced that he would be facing Kevin Owens on both nights of the tour. The tour is scheduled to take place on December 8 and 9 in New Delhi, India.

The shows, which are actually Raw brand shows, will feature Mahal as WWE has been aggressively pushing towards the India market for most of this year, with the most notable push being that of Jinder Mahal, who went from an enhancement talent to a main eventer seemingly overnight. Mahal beat Randy Orton for the WWE title this past May at Backlash and has held on to it ever since, beating the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura and Orton in various rematches.

WWE also has a new program called WWE Sunday Dhamaal, which is exclusive to India.

Owens has plenty of momentum following the events of this past Sunday's Hell in a Cell, defeating Shane McMahon with the help of his friend Sami Zayn, who have patched their relationship.

Others announced for the cards include Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, The Miz, The Singh Brothers and Bayley.
