Joe Exotic really could do it all. Well, before he went to prison.
The charismatic subject of the popoular Tiger King documentary on Netflix is known for cub petting, running for office, murder for hire plots, country music, making pizza, and about 40 other things. Just a few years back, he was involved in pro wrestling.
Exotic helped promote NWA Texoma Wrestling, with some shows actually taking place at his zoo. The events were met with little success online, but consistently drew solid crowds for their live events. Joe would provide commentary and often break kayfabe during the course of the match.
Fightful spoke to several wrestlers who appeared on shows said that they didn't have any particularly wild stories about him, but noted they got paid on time. No word on if he tried to book any against Carol Baskins.
In all, Joe Exotic's Youtube channel features nearly 30 wrestling videos, and some names familiar to longtime WWE fans. Erik of the Viking Raiders noted that just a few years ago, he participated in one of those shows. Tim Storm, Charlie Haas, and other have also appeared.
In 2016 I wrestled on a show held at the GW Zoo. #TigerKing #JoeExotic

The promotion ran as NWA Texoma, but switched to Texoma Pro Wrestling and still runs today.
