Joe Hendry: Maybe Gallus Will Make The Mistake Of Attacking Me In My Territory, Maybe I've Got Allies There

Joe Hendry comments on his upcoming match with Joe Coffey, his issues with Gallus, and more.

Joe Hendry has been a star of the crossover working relationship between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling. Most recently, he performed a concert for the NXT Universe during the first week of the 2024 NXT Great American Bash. The concert ended with him being attacked by Gallus members Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang.

Now, Joe Hendry will take on Joe Coffey during the second week of the Great American Bash. During a recent interview with Comic Book, Hendry was asked about being outnumbered by Gallus. Hendry proclaimed he preferred to be a lone wolf. Still, he is open to making sure he has some backup during future runs with the Gallus boys.

"Look, I've been a lone soldier my entire career," Hendry began. "Do you know, how many times I've had the opportunity to be part of groups and things like that? I think I've done it like once. I've been in, like, sort of odd couple tag teams that have, you know, had fun with here and there. But like, I've always been by myself. I've kind of always wanted it that way. There are drawbacks to that because then you're in situations where you do have Gallus, and it's a three-on-one situation; maybe that is something I do need to think about.

"I'll say this: we're in a period of time in wrestling where anything can happen," he continued. "Nothing is going to shock me at this point. So you know what, I will make my way to the ring, knowing full well that Gallus could jump me at any point. Anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling... Literally, anything or anyone could show up; you just don't know. You've just gotta watch and see how this plays out. Remember, there is a collaboration between TNA and NXT. Who knows, maybe Gallus make the mistake of trying to attack me in my territory. Maybe I've got allies there. You just don't know. That's what's so exciting about this. Wrestling is that it's best when anything can happen."

Joe Hendry recently revealed that he is training full-time at the WWENXT Performance Center in Orlando. Read his comments on that here.
