Unfortunate for the independent scene.
Two of the independent wrestling scenes top stars both suffered injuries last night. Joey Janela and Jordynne Grace were competing for different promotions and both of their nights resulted in a trip to the hospital. The current WSU Spirit Champion Jordynne Grace wrestled at NOVA Pro Wrestling's 'Project 4' show in Virginia and she went one-on-one with "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams for the 'Powerbomb.TV Independent' Championship. Grace shared on Twitter that her injury occurred when she jumped from the second rope to the mat while executing an implant DDT. Jordynne Grace was set to compete in the 'Black Label Pro' 'Darkest Timeline' Championship tournament but due to her injury she is not able to do so.
The current WWN Champion "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela suffered a gruesome looking injury when he and former two-time WCW Cruiserweight Champion Psicosis took the fight to one another at Game Changer Wrestling's 'Live Fast Die Young' event and in the video below, Janela can be seen diving to the outside and landing very awkwardly on his leg and knee. Janela noted on Twitter that he is in the emergency room and is hoping for the best.
