John Cena comments on possibly working WrestleMania 40.
John Cena hasn't stepped foot in the ring since WWE Crown Jewel when he was decimated by Solo Sikoa. Cena gave a bow to the crowd as part of his exit. Cena has often said he doesn't know how much longer he has left in the ring, and with WrestleMania around the corner, he isn't sure he'll be free.
"I don't know if I'll be free that weekend, but it is a weekend and movies don't shoot on the weekends," he playfully said to Entertainment Tonight. "But when I say I'm done -- in WWE, they say never say never and a lot of people retire and come back -- I'm just being honest with myself. There's such a great new generation now as well. It's time to pass the electric energy on to the folks that can be there every day."
Cena competed at WrestleMania 39, losing to Austin Theory.
Elsewhere during the interview, Cena said he plans to be done with wrestling by the time he is 50. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
