John Cena invites everyone to be part of his retirement tour.
John Cena is set to go on his retirement tour in 2025 as he fully winds down his legendary career. Cena will work dozens of events in 2025, including Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Cena made the announcement of his retirement tour at WWE Money in the Bank.
Speaking at the WWE Money in the Bank press conference, Cena gave a message to the fans.
“I’ve always said I want to find the right time to say thank you, and I’ll never be able to put into words how much the audience means to me. Because without them, I’m nothing. So I think this is the best way to do it. Have a bunch of events all across the world, where we can all get together for that last time, go crazy, have fun, scream at the top of our lungs. It’s pretty energetic out there. With the meteoric rise in the popularity and awareness of the WWE, I think it’s a great time to do something like this. I don’t think I’m saying anything out of turn here. A lot of sports entertainment retirements are either immediate injury forces, they’re excuses to beat up a champion and vie for a title match, or they’re dishonest. People say they’re walking away, and two years later, they come back. I want to set the record straight, I’m done. This is it. But the reason I’m saying that is not because ‘I’m over it, I’m done.’ I just want to send the message to our fans, if you ever wanted to be a part of this one last time, we’re gonna do it as big as we can, and we’re inviting everybody, and we hope you come enjoy the fun and enjoy the show," he said.
