John Cena: "The Rock’s In His Own Universe, Anytime I Could Be Put In That Conversation, I'll Take It"

John Cena with high praise for "The Brahma Bull".

Former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena and former 8-time WWE World Champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are regularly compared to one another in terms of the polarizing aura that they have when they are in front of wrestling crowds and more-so because of how they've made a name for themselves in Hollywood after taking breaks from WWE and returning to the company and continuing the same cycle.

The Rock is busy pushing out numerous movies and hosting his own show on NBC entitled 'The Titan Games' and John Cena recently wrapped up a film in China that was put together by Jackie Chan and is now doing promotional work for 'Bumblebee' which released in theaters today in the U.S.. To promote the film Cena spoke with Yahoo! Sports and went over the comparisons between himself and "The Great One" and stated that he will accept any comparisons to The Rock.

"The Rock’s in his own universe. Anytime I could be put in that conversation, I will take it." Cena said. “He has broken the mold. He is one of the most gifted entertainers, used to be sport entertainers. He has captivated a planet. He inspires everybody that he comes into contact with. He’s in a league of his own. There isn’t another him. It’s weird because he’s the only one to compare to, but you want to talk about setting the bar unreachable? I’m just happy to be doing what I’m doing. But he’s in his own universe." John continued, "If I were to call him out. I’d be like, ‘Hey, man… Keep it up, because you’re doing it.’”

John Cena will be making his return to WWE the day after Christmas for the company's holiday live event tour and you can click here to see the dates that Cena is scheduled for in the coming months.
