Twenty years after capturing his first WWE Championship, John Cena is hanging up the jorts with a retirement tour that will last the entirety of 2025. With stops including the Royal Rumble, the first-ever WWE Raw on Netflix, and what will be his final WrestleMania in Las Vegas, Cena wants his retirement to work to be a celebration of the best parts of being a WWE Superstar and hopes to give his fans as many possible chances to say goodbye to him the right way.

In a new interview with Collider, Cena revealed that his retirement tour would be approximately 36 dates in 2025. He noted that Peacemaker season 2 would finish filming around the end of 2024. He also stated that he's reserved the 2025 calendar year for his WWE family and that the tour would be his primary focus.

"I can probably confirm that Peacemaker will take us to the end of 2024, and I can say that with the utmost conviction because I have given the calendar year 2025 to WWE. I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January. I'll end it in December, and it's going to be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So that's what I'm doing in 2025."

When Cena was commended for taking on the tour because of the physical toll that WWE can take on one's body, he took the opportunity to again shine a spotlight on the best parts of being a WWE Superstar and the gratitude that fans extend the performers.

"Well, it's also very rewarding, and I'm grateful. The audience has been there for me for close to 25 years now, so I just want to say, 'Thank you.'"
