John Mulaney Says 'Everybody's Live' Airs Wednesdays On Netflix Partly Due To WWE Airing On Mondays And Fridays

John Mulaney's talk show "Everybody's Live with John Mulaney" premieres March 12th on Netflix.

New episodes will air live on Wednesdays. Why Wednesday?

"Wednesday is traditionally the hottest night of the week," Mulaney said with a laugh while speaking to Jimmy Kimmel. "There is another live show on Saturdays that you wouldn't want to compete with. Then, there is Friday night. I go, 'Let's do Friday night.' They go, 'We have wrestling on Friday night.' I go, 'Oh, okay.' 'We have to devote our live time to wrestling.' That's fair. 'What about Thursday?' 'We have new shows premiering on Thursday so we wouldn't help your show because we'd be pushing our other shows.' Okay, not very nice. I'm driving and I see a billboard for Monday Night Raw. 'Wait, wrestling is on Monday.' I call Netflix, 'What's the deal? You said wrestling was on Friday.' 'That's international wrestling.' 'Oh, I'm so sorry.' Wouldn't want to step on the beloved hit international wrestling. They said, 'What about Wednesday?' At this point, I'm so tired of the conversation I said that's fine with me."

WWE Raw airs on Netflix in the US and globally on Mondays, while WWE SmackDown airs live on Fridays in international markets on Netflix.

"Everybody's Live" airs at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesdays.
