Jon Moxley defies the odds.
In the main event of AEW Revolution, Jon Moxley defended the AEW World Championship against Cope. Cope previously took out Moxley's Death Riders stablemates to level the playing field. However, one of them still got involved in the bout.
In the late stages of the match, the referee got knocked down. Wheeler Yuta came to the ring and dropped Cope with a Busaiku Knee. Jay White ran in and took Yuta out. He then accidentally hit Cope with Moxley's briefcase. Cope rallied and hit multiple Spears. But a hooded individual pulled the referee out of the ring.
The newcomer turned out to be Christian Cage, who hit Cope with his contract and cashed in to make the bout a Triple Threat. Though he nearly pinned Cope after a Spear and a Killswitch, Moxley caught him in a bulldog choke and made him pass out in order to clinch the victory.

After the match, as Jon Moxley made his way to the back, Prince Nana got in his face. This was just a diversion, as Swerve Strickland dove off the guardrail in the crowd with a Swerve Stomp and laid Moxley out.
