TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace made history at NXT Battleground, as she challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Championship. Perez emerged victorious after Tatum Paxley and Ash By Elegance got involved.

Grace then took to social media and commented on her loss. She wrote that it was not her time, but it would be one day.

Grace previously competed in the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble. She had her first NXT singles match on the June 4 episode, where she beat Stevie Turner.
