Glenn Jacobs (known in WWE as Kane) is running for Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee and put out his first advertisement.
In the ninety-two second video, Jacobs tells his constituents why he chose to run, his vision for Knox County, and how he plans to succeed. In the video he says his career as a WWE wrestler took him all over the world and he believes Knox County to be the perfect place to raise a family. He focused on community and business growth.
"As your mayor, I will work with local businesses to make sure they have everything they need to succeed. I will work with the great teachers and administrators to make sure Knox County schools produce a competitive, world class workforce that will attract new businesses and create jobs. I will work to make sure Government remains open and transparent so every citizen of Knox County has a voice in the Mayor's office. I will fight to keep Government small and to keep our taxes low," said Jacobs.
He quoted President Ronald Regan calling America "a shining cty on a hill", Jacobs wishes to emulate that by making Knox County an example for the state and region as a productive and strong community. Jacob's campaign has been consistent on reforming education and attracting businesses to the area. His campaign slogan is "lighting the way for our future" and his logo includes a flame. Under his "7 Issues that Matter to Knox County" listed on his website, Jacobs hopes to bring a "fresh outlook on limited goverement."
