Karrion Kross: "I Don't Plan On Staying In NXT Forever"

NXT is not the final stop on the road for Karrion Kross.

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, a global press conference was held ahead of NXT TakeOver: In Your House. The final question of the event was directed at Kross and wondered if he will go down as the brand's great champion ever. He said that he is not a fan of undermining people's intelligence and thinks that that's something for fans to decide themselves. Furthermore, while he never intends on losing the belt, he also doesn't see himself in NXT forever. Here was his full reply.

WWE NXT (12/24/2024) Results: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Cora Jade, Christmas Chaos Four-Way Tag, More Set

"I'm not a very big fan of undermining people's intelligence. I don't think that's really something anyone in this business should put on themselves. I think the WWE Universe [and] NXT fans should decide who the greatest will be, in due time. But I will tell you this, I don't plan on ever losing this title. That's number one. Number two; I don't plan on staying in NXT forever. Number three; find out on Sunday. These guys are showing up. I'm showing up. I'm planning to beat the shit out of all four of them. I'm leaving with this, that's my game plan. Why? Because it's personal."

Kross is scheduled to defend his title at TakeOver: In Your House in a Fatal 5-Way Match against Adam Cole, Pete Dunne, Johnny Gargano, and Kyle O'Reilly.

Fightful will have live coverage of the event on that day beginning at 4 p.m. PST.
