During the Being The Elite Mailbag at Starrcast, Kenny Omega was asked about the potential of working New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Wrestle Kingdom 14.
Kenny Omega teased the crowd at first with a Mr. Burns impression from The Simpsons saying, "when pigs fly." then, he spoke more seriously about waiting for a phone call to come from New Japan and feeling like it may not come. Omega said he feels like he's "worked all their guys, except for maybe one big match."
Kenny then spoke about his upcoming date with the DDT promotion in Japan and said that in his match for them, he will be teaming with fellow AEW Superstar Riho, he was looking to provide a dramatic and intense mixed tag team match.
Kenny also mentioned some New Japan Pro-Wrestling names when asked who he would like to sign from any company. "he’s been talked about a lot lately, so I’d like to either be able to give him the platform or shut him up," Kenny said in reference to Will Ospreay. In addition to Ospreay, Kenny also said he would want to sign his Golden Lovers tag team partner, Kota Ibushi.
