Kenzie Paige welcomes the challenge of her younger sister Kylie Paige one day for the NWA Women's World Championship.
The Paige sisters are thick as thieves. Not only are they members of Pretty Empowered, but they're also part of the structure of Kross Fire Wrestling which recently became an NWA territory.
During a recent interview with the Battleground podcast, Kenzie Paige, the current NWA Women's World Champion, discussed her relationship with her sister and how the competitive nature of professional wrestling never got in the way of their bond.
"We're literally peanut butter and jelly. Besties everywhere that we go. It didn't change with wrestling," she said. "A lot of people were worried that us both being in wrestling would drive a wedge but in reality, it makes us both work harder, right? Because the sibling rivalry, you do want to do better than your sister and you do want to do better than your siblings. They do motivate you. So, seeing her grow and get better, it only makes me want to grow and get better.
"I'm on year eight of wrestling. She's on year two, so we're in different parts of our journey but together, we're enjoying it, and we're motivating each other. She keeps me leveling up. I keep her leveling up," Paige added.
Asked about potentially defending the NWA Women's Worlds Championship against her sister one day, Kenzie says that Kylie should desire to challenge her for the championship because it's what all athletes should aspire to. Still, should that day ever come then she would make sure that her sister knows that "big sister always wins."
"If she was smart, she'd want to go for the title, right? Because that's what you want to go for. If that ever happened, she would just have to learn a lesson. Big sister is always going to win, period."
Kenzie defeated Kamille to win the championship, ending Kamille's reign which lasted over 800 days. Now, Kamille is headed towards a different chapter in her career.
