Kevin Owens Hopes To Drink Beer With Steve Austin On KO Show, Doesn’t Know If They’ll Go On Last

Stone Cold could go on last at one final WrestleMania.

Despite the fact that Stone Cold Steve Austin and the moments that he created at WrestleMania go down in history as some of the moments that are most closely associated with the event, Stone Cold Steve Austin has only headlined WrestleMania 3 times.

La Parka Negra (Ángel Mortal Jr) Announces He Is Leaving La Parka Negra Character

The first time was when he faced Shawn Michaels and captured his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 14 in 1998. He would again headline the next year, capturing his third WWE Championship by taking it away from The Rock, and the final time he headlined WrestleMania came in 2001 when he again defeated The Rock for the WWE Championship.

Steve Austin retired after losing to The Rock at WrestleMania 19 and while he has done a lot on WWE television in those twenty years, he has never wrestled again but now, leading into a confrontation with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38, it has been heavily framed as though Steve Austin is coming back for a match.

Kevin Owens is sticking with what he knows when previewing his upcoming confrontation with Stone Cold Steve Austin during a new interview with Gorilla Press ahead of WrestleMania 38.

“I've heard rumblings, I don't know,” Kevin responded when asked if his segment with Stone Cold Steve Austin would go on last on WrestleMania Saturday.

Kevin also explained, from his point of view, what he thinks about the segments between him and Stone Cold not being billed as a match. During Stone Cold Steve Austin’s response to Kevin Owens’ challenge, Steve Austin openly stated that he was okay with calling this confrontation with Kevin Owens his final match. In later interviews, Stone Cold would even say that he is getting into in-ring shape.

“I really can't tell you why any of it was worked out the way it is. All I know is I invited him onto The KO Show and he's coming. Certainly, if you look at everything that's been said, it seems like he's coming for more than a KO Show, right? I would expect a stunner, people might be surprised who is the one hitting it, but it doesn't seem like we're just going to talk. We’ll hopefully drink beer as well,” Kevin said playfully.

Right now, the match between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey is scheduled to go on last on Saturday, April 2. You can check out the full card here.
