Kevin Owens talks Tanga Loa's debut.
At WWE Backlash, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were seemingly closing in on a victory over Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga when Tanga Loa debuted of nowhere, costing Orton and Owens the match. Loa's debut came just weeks after Tonga's debut, which happened on the first SmackDown after WrestleMania 40.
While appearing on WWE's The Bump, Kevin Owens talked about the issues that he's faced with The Bloodline over the years and how he wants to put an end to it.
“I’m just getting real tired of these guys. [There’s] seemingly an endless amount of Bloodline-adjacent people. I’m pretty sure they’re not actually related. But yeah, I don’t know. I keep hearing rumblings that there’s a lot more. Look, I’ve been dealing with The Bloodline for about four years now. I’m still reeling from Saturday night, to be honest, and I don’t know. It was an incredible night, and it ended in a way that really pissed me off. I don’t know how else to put it. It’s a problem that keeps growing, and I have to put an end to this eventually because it’s been four years, like I said.
Owens went on to say that the current version of The Bloodline is a bootleg version of the original group.
“Yeah, well, it’s a bootleg Bloodline. No matter what’s happened between me and Roman Reigns and The Usos and everything, I have an incredible amount of respect for those guys because they’ve been on the road. They’ve done everything we’ve done, I’ve been all over the world with them. Tama Tonga, I don’t know him. I know he’s been wrestling for a long time, but I have no idea. Up until he showed up until a few weeks ago, I’d never met the guy. I’d never been around him. I don’t know. To come in the way they did, just a real coward’s way. I don’t know, even Solo, he’s been around for a few years, nothing like The Usos, nothing like Roman. I don’t respect this Bloodline. I don’t."
Owens was also asked about slamming Tama Tonga onto a pile of chairs at Backlash.
“I think that’s, ‘Welcome to WWE. Welcome to being in the ring with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. There’s a lot more where that came from. Look, I’m obviously not done with The Bloodline, and this is one of many very bad things that are going to happen to Tama Tonga."
Owens recently stated that he has nine months left on his contract with WWE. Fans can learn more here.
