Khabib Nurmagomedov knows the drawing power of Hasbulla.
Hasbulla is one of the most popular figures on social media, creating viral videos and becoming a celebrity in Makhachkala, Russia. Hasbulla has become good friends with former UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and has made appearances at UFC events.
Speaking to Red Corner MMA, Khabib commented on the popularity of Hasbulla and why he believes he needs to move to the United States.
"We talk about all this stuff with Hasbulla. He has to go to the US. In the US, he is very popular. All the big celebrities and stars and promotions like WWE, NBA, hockey, American football, UFC, all these sports he is very popular. They all know him. He has to move for a couple years to the US and become maybe a billionaire. At a minimum, a millionaire. He needs to make a visa and go to USA," he said.
Speaking at a press conference to promote Eagle FC (via Championat), Khabib elaborated on WWE's interest.
"The WWE, wrestling, also wants him to come to them somehow. They want to pay him some big money to get him into the ring. He’s immensely popular abroad,” he said.
Khabib retired from MMA following his victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. He purchased Gorilla Fighting Championship (GFC) in Russia and renamed it Eagle FC as he moves forward with his new venture.
It is unknown if Hasbulla will ever come to WWE.
