King Corbin steps up to the challenge set forth by Bobby Lashley,
The March 29 episode of Monday Night Raw was built around Bobby Lashley's challenge from March 22 where he'd laid down the gauntlet for anybody on the Monday Night Raw roster to punch their personal ticket to WrestleMania by taking out Drew McIntyre.
Ultimately, nobody would step up to the plate on their own. This would lead to Drew McIntyre and during the locker room and enticing somebody to step up to him.
Angel Garza would try, and be dispatched of quickly. Then, Ricochet would agree to meet Drew McIntyre in the ring and quickly be dispatched as well. After that match, Mustafa Ali stepped up to the plate but would ultimately be taken out by the former WWE Champion as well.
At this point, it appeared that the show would go off the air with Drew McIntyre standing tall after getting the better of Bobby Lashley during a physical confrontation. That is when Drew McIntyre was blindsided by Baron Corbin, a SmackDown Superstar.
There was no mention of the quarterly brand-to-brand invitational or any storyline reason for Baron Corbin to show up on Monday Night Raw outside of the announcers saying that Lashley's challenge must have made its way to the SmackDown locker room.
