Kris Statlander reflects on Jade Cargill and the star power she brought to All Elite Wrestling.
Kris Statlander will always be known as the only woman who ever defeated Jade Cargill during her first run in AEW. Before Jade joined WWE, she had an impressive run in AEW, going undefeated for over 500 days and becoming the inaugural AEW TBS Champion. She would lose the championship to Statlander at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. She then lost to Statlander again in her last match on the September 15 AEW Rampage.
In an interview with DS of Ring The Belle that was recorded during the week of AEW All Out, Statlander reflected on what Cargill brought to the brand, saying that nobody will ever be able to top her when it comes to the presentation she brought to everything she did.
"No one will be able to top her with that, I commend her so much. She always brought such a star power to everything that she did not just her big pay-per-view matches or her big title defenses but even just her backstage promos and stuff. You can't not acknowledge that she is a star, she is."
Jade continues to bring star power to her screen time in WWE. While she has yet to actually wrestle a match, she continues to appear on all three WWE brands. Most recently, she watched Becky Lynch lose the NXT Championship to Lyra Valkyria add NXT Halloween Havoc you can.
