Kurrgan Recalls Plans To Work With The Undertaker Before Being Put In The Oddities

Kurrgan joined WWE in 1997 as a member of The Truth Commission, which was led by Don Callis, who was known as The Jackyl.

The group didn't last long, but Kurrgan and Jackyl continued their partnership and eventually formed The Oddities.

Before The Oddities were formed, Kurrgan was slated to work with The Undertaker.

"That’s right," Kurrgan recalled on Stories with Bradshaw & Brisco when plans with Undertaker were mentioned. "There was a whole thing with Taker. I remember Taker, after my matches, he was always giving me advice. He was watching my matches and giving advice. He was cool with that. Nice of him to do. There was a whole thing with Taker, but it didn’t go the way I wanted and the direction they wanted. Maybe because I wasn’t ready at that moment. I don’t know. That’s where The Oddities came. It was a weird time because they weren’t sure what to do with me for the longest time and then The Oddities came over and I was brought into The Oddities."

Kurrgan and Undertaker eventually faced off in February 1999 on WWE Sunday Night Heat. It was Kurrgan's last televised match with the company.

Elsewhere during the interview, Kurrgan recalled working with Robert Downey Jr and accidentally punching him in the face. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
