Kurt Angle shares the length of his WWE contract and talks what is next for him in WWE.
WWE Hall Of Famer and multi-time World Champion in various promotions, Kurt Angle had his last match in WWE at WrestleMania 35 where he fell in defeat to Baron Corbin. Kurt Angle has reiterated that there were talks of having a John Cena or an AJ Styles as his final opponent but the timing and storyline called for Baron Corbin seeing as how he and Corbin had been feuding for a year.
Although Angle is stepping away from in-ring competition, he will be taking on a backstage role in WWE as he revealed during an interview with WrestlingINC's Andy Malnoske. Angle was asked what is next for him and he revealed that he signed a five-year deal with WWE and added that he is going to work as a producer backstage and help the current crop of wrestlers put together matches and simply wants to contribute to the company.
“My future, I signed a five-year deal with WWE." Angle revealed. "I’m gonna do some part-time, quote on quote… if they need me in front of the TV, maybe managerial, where I would be managing wrestlers, but the most important thing is I’m gonna be a producer. I’m gonna help the wrestlers with their technique. I’m gonna help them structure their matches. It’s something I’m very good at and I thought I’d be able to contribute to the company.”
Kurt Angle last appeared on WWE programming the night after WrestleMania 35 on RAW during-which he was beat down by "The Freak" Lars Sullivan.
