LA Diva spoils The Timeless One's CMLL Debut.

CMLL hosted on Friday, October 18, 2024, a new episode of "Viernes Espectacular" from the mythical Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. The show was headlined by a double main event, which included Toni Storm making her CMLL debut against the 2023 CMLL Women's Universal Championship Tournament La Catalina.

After a dynamic bout between the former three-time AEW Women's World Champion and the woman known as "La Diva del Ring", the finish came when Catalina hit a diving Splash on Storm to pick up the big-time win. This was Storm's first match ever in Mexico and her first match ever in CMLL. After the match, Storm grabbed the microphone and vowed to return to Arena Mexico soon.

Big things are ahead for La Catalina, as she is scheduled to be involved in the 2024 Women's Grand Prix alongside Willow Nightingale, Zeuxis, and more. Storm had previously wrestled in STARDOM, unsuccessfully challenging for the IWGP Women's Championship against Mayu Iwatani on STARDOM's Nagoya Golden Fight event on 10/5. She has not wrestled for AEW since losing her AEW Women's World Title against Mariah May on the 8/25/2024 edition of AEW All In.
