Ángel Mortal Jr is starting a new chapter.
Ángel Mortal Jr has been with AAA since 2017, and he took on the La Parka Negra later that year. In doing so, he became the fourth person to compete as La Parka Negra.
In a post on Instagram, Ángel Mortal Jr reflected on his time his time as La Parka Negra. He thanked everyone and noted that he was leaving the Parka Negra character. (Translated by Fightful's Luis Pulido)

"Don't stop shining among the stars...
Undoubtedly, one of the greatest stages of my career was taking possession of La Parka Negra, a character that since its creation has had only one purpose; to confront La Parka, but life takes many turns and today I not only realize how much I walked with this character, but also how much he has given me. Only I know the reasons why you must take firm decisions, and it gives me great pleasure to know how well I clicked with La Parka Negra is an ineffable feeling. In a few words, it felt to me like Venom and Spiderman dinamic, and that feeling is only when I wear the mask that for me is a symbol more than an object, it is given the importance it should be, and more for not being my mask, my name, my character; respect is respect here and everywhere.
Thank you for so many adventures and also for the tears but to be with the wolves you have to be one of them and this is the real struggle, use your criteria and the confidence you have in yourself to make history in this great industry, and it is not about enduring, it is about resisting, that forges you like steel because it makes you bring out your best version and if you do not realize what you are worth, do not worry about the world seeing it.

La Parka Negra last wrestled at the AAA event on September 20th. There, he, Chessman, and Pimpinela Escarlata lost to Mr. Iguana, Myzteziz Jr., and Negro Casas.
