Lana: "Being SmackDown Women’s Champion Is A Dream Of Mine”

Lana wants gold.

"The Ravishing Russian" Lana has been an active in-ring competitor in WWE for a year now. For years Lana has been the manager of her husband Rusev and she has also managed one-half of the current current RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler. Lana is a part of the SmackDown women's division and has her sights set on holding championship gold soon and she stated just that during an interview with Hollywood Life. Lana spoke with the publication as the trailer for the new season of Total Divas hit the internet and she shared that Rusev puts the pressure on her at times about having a family but there are still a few things she wants to accomplish in WWE before she takes time off to do that.

“Rusev always puts on the pressure,” she laughed. “He’s like…I want babies. But right now I’m very focused on my career. There’s a lot I want to achieve. I feel like I’m finally starting to get more momentum in the ring and getting more opportunities. There’s a lot I would love to do still — being SmackDown Women’s Champion is obviously a dream of mine.”

Lana also discussed the sisterhood and competitive nature that exists between WWE's female superstars. She stated that while they all support one another and want to see each other succeed, there is that feeling that they all want to be on top.

“At the end of the day, this is a competition, so we’re all very competitive,” Lana said. “I’m very competitive. We love each other and are supportive and all want the best for each other. We have an incredible locker room and support system, but at the end of the day, we are there to win and there to compete. What that bell goes, we’re there to win. Some women are dirtier than others — some will cheat and do whatever it takes to win, some will do it the right way. But at the end of the day, this is a competition and we’re athletes.”
