Lance Anoa'i doubles down on his comments about Cody Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40. The potential interference of The Bloodline looms large, as The Rock has aligned with Roman Reigns, and Solo Sikoa cost Rhodes his match against Reigns at WrestleMania 39. Lance Anoa'i, a member of the real-life Bloodline in the Anoa'i family, recently stated that Rhodes would not finish his story this year.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Lance Anoa'i was asked about the upcoming clash between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
“Oh, man. I gotta clear my schedule just to be able to watch it. But I’ll tell you one thing, no story is getting finished here," Anoai said.
When asked to describe why he didn't want Rhodes to finish his story, he highlighted Roman Reigns' greatness and pointed to the depth of their family. He noted that you never know what could happen, as he and other members were free agents.
“Always throwing the one up. We representing Roman Reigns, man. He’s at the top. He’s been at the top for a very long time. Man, anything in the thousands, that’s greatness. He’s god mode right now in WWE, and I respect everything he’s done, my whole family. Even Jimmy and Jey, man. The whole Bloodline is tearing it up. Who knows? You got myself, Juicy are part of the family. You got Zilla, you got Jacob. We’re all free [laughs], so you never know what could pop up," Lance Anoa'i said.
