Lance Storm shares his thoughts on intergender wrestling.
The topic of intergender wrestling was brought up by the former wrestler, saying he believes that intergender wrestling matches should stop, especially in light of the recent #SpeakingOut movement that has hit the pro wrestling world in recent months.
Agree to do intergender matches and be the only women on the tour or lose all the booking and risk heat from canceling. There is then pressure to share a room because everyone else is doubling up. THIS HAPPENS

I see some discussion on inter gender wrestling matches again. In light of #SpeakingOut I think these matches have to stop. I’ve heard from so many women who were uncomfortable doing these but felt obligated to to get booked because these matches were accepted “norms”.

Several wrestlers took exception to Storm's comments with a wide variety of responses from saying eliminating intergender wrestling altogether is not the proper reaction to the #SpeakingOut movement to saying that there are women who do prefer to do intergender matches and more.
HARD disagree. There needs to be MORE intergender and if someone doesn’t want to do it they need to say so. I have definitely told people no before and I’ve also said no to working women. There’s no difference. We are all WRESTLERS. Equal rights, Equal fights. https://t.co/VsRnu7HYCT

I think we should be allowed the choice to have an intergender match if we want to.

Hopefully in a safe environment where no woman or man will feel uncomfortable in that situation again. https://t.co/DsrZOt46LQ
After all of the work that was put into #SpeakingOut - I find this incredibly offensive.

Intergender wrestling is not the same as being sexually assaulted, harrassed or raped.
Just teach men to not make women feel uncomfortable. https://t.co/A6fOzdoztI
I respectfully understand.

Although there are “some women” who actually like to do these type, and all types of matches.
Just a little unfair to segrgate an entire gender due to some feelings against a situation.
That people don’t necessarily even have to be in. https://t.co/kPv8EVpCPd
Idk, If I can say “I’m not working wrestler X cuz he sucks”

these women can also say “I don’t enjoy inter-gender”
Not to start a large debate
Banishing all inter-gender just seems like a step in the wrong direction.
Doing inter-gender RIGHT .. is the proper step I think -- https://t.co/RioBzLa2aj
Storm recently worked with WWE in a backstage role but was released by the company in April.
