Bates was also a integral figure in various other roles in the company, specifically with the AEW Heels program.

'The Librarian' last wrestled for AEW on the February 20 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, which was taped on February 15. In that match, Bates teamed up with Madison Rayne & Willow Nightingale in a losing effort against Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir & Nyla Rose.
