Lex Luger says he has a mystery protege who will be carrying on the legacy of "The Total Package" in pro wrestling.
Lex Luger was one of the top names in wrestling throughout the '80s and '90s. He did everything from winning a Royal Rumble and competing for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania in Madison Square Garden to making Hulk Hogan submit to the Torture Rack to capture the WCW World Championship in 1997. He was also a member of the nWo Wolfpac and The Four Horsemen.
Lex Luger hasn't wrestled in nearly 20 years because of his nerve impingement that has led to numerous physical issues over the years, but he has now said that he is coaching someone who will carry on his legacy.
"I've got a young guy that people are going to hear a lot about that I have been mentoring for years on the weights. He's going to break into wrestling. He's going to be 'The New Total Package 2.0.' He's going to bring back the [Torture] Rack. So stay tuned," he said on an Ad-Free Shows Q&A.
Lex Luger also recently opened up about working with DDP and DDP Yoga. Learn more here.
Lex Luger is currently not in the WWE Hall of Fame but has stated that he would like to attempt to stand up out of his wheelchair for his induction if the day ever came. Read more here.
