Liv Morgan: When I Came Back From Injury, I Went From 'I'm Lucky To Be Here' To 'I'm That Bitch'

Liv Morgan was sidelined for six months with a shoulder injury suffered in July 2023. When she returned to the ring in the women's Royal Rumble in 2024, Morgan says she found a new version of herself.

Morgan started up her revenge tour the night after WrestleMania XL, putting Rhea Ripley on the sidelines and going on to win the WWE Women's World Title from Becky Lynch at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.

Speaking to Daniel Trainor of US Weekly, Morgan explained how she found herself during her time away from wrestling while injured.

“It wasn’t until I came back from my injury this past year that I went from like, ‘I’m lucky to be here’ to ‘I’m that bitch,’” Morgan stated. “I don’t know what that switch was. I think that was my big realization in my time off. For the last 10 years of my life, I’ve been Liv Morgan. Those are my formative, growing, stepping into my womanhood years. I had been so fixated on what I was doing in my career that I don’t think I paid enough attention to myself, my wants, my needs, my hobbies, my interests, my likes, my dislikes. It wasn’t until I had those months off where I only had to be myself.”

Morgan has become a focal point on WWE Raw, working her way into the Judgment Day and a relationship with Dominik Mysterio.

Liv and Dominik are set to team at WWE Bash In Berlin to take on Ripley & Damian Priest. Fans can find the current lineup for the event by clicking here.
