Low Ki says he would have liked to see Windham Rotunda, better known as Bray Wyatt, have a run in Japan.
Low Ki was the winner of the second season of WWE NXT. Another individual part of that season was Husky Harris, who would later go on to great fame and WWE Championship success as Bray Wyatt. Low Ki spoke about working with Wyatt during a recent appearance on Thats Wrestling!
Ki would say that he wishes he could have seen Windham's creativity and in-ring style on display in Japan before he came to WWE because Ki believes that would have allowed for even greater displays of his creativity. Also, when it comes to pro wrestling, Japan is a hotbed noted for its affinity for foreign heavyweight wrestlers.
"His energy was a main event energy, it's that simple. He wasn't afraid at his size. He was young, but he wasn't afraid, which made it more appealing. At his size, his personality was larger than his body so there was a clear indication that he was going to advance. To what degree? That's always dependent on the decision-makers but from a traditional sense, I would have loved to see him in Japan before WWE. Only because that would have been a worldwide phenomenon at a different level, and it would have been [driven by] his creativity, as opposed to being influenced by WWE."
Sadly, Windham Rotunda passed away in 2023. Fans can see tributes to Windham from around the wrestling world at this link.
