Ol' Mancer got the cops called at a GCW event, but not for any of his victims.
During a recent appearance on Sam Roberts' podcast, Mance Warner shared a story where the violent nature of his style of wrestling and GCW as a whole, resulted in police being called because his tongue was stapled to a door.
When the police asked for a statement, Mance Warner told them that Nick Gage stole his championship and his tongue was stapled to a door so they could guess how he was feeling. He claims he was almost arrested.
"There have been GCW shows where cops get called because I’m being Mancer out in the ring. There was one time, me and Nick Gage were in Wyoming or something. Cops got called because I got my tongue stapled to a door. Fire gets set, I get thrown through it, cops show up because someone called and said, ‘We know it’s a wrestling show but that’s real.’ Cops show up and they’re wanting to take a statement, or arrest me, because they’re going, ‘We know this is a show, but that was real. We walked in when this was happening.’ For me, people know it’s a show, but when you see Ol Mancer, you don’t know for sure. My exact quote to [the cops] was, ‘Hey fellas, do y’all need an autograph?’ I asked that and they yell at me, ' Do you want to go down to [the jail]?' ‘No, no. I just thought y’all needed an autograph.’ They try to get a statement and they go, ‘how do you feel?’ I pulled my tongue out and go, ‘I got my tongue stapled and he stole my title!’ None of what I did is what you should do with police officers, but I can’t turn it off. I almost got arrested, they followed us around the venue. I can’t help it."
After losing the GCW World Title to EFFY at The People vs. GCW, Mance Warner recently emerged on TNA Wrestling television alongside his girlfriend Steph De Lander. Learn more about that here.
