Maria Kanellis To Undergo Thyroid Surgery, Says AEW Has Given Her Their Full Support

Maria Kanellis is set to have surgery.

In a Instagram post on February 3, Maria Kanellis revealed to fans that she is set to undergo thyroid surgery later today. In the post, Kanellis revealed that she has had issues with symptoms for the past two and a half years, but has been unable to properly address the issue due to having children, being in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and being fired from multiple wrestling companies. Kanellis also noted that her doctors warned her of cells that could potentially become cancerous and/or cause heart issues.
