Mariah May Captures AEW Women's World Title At AEW All In 2024, Slaps Her Own Mother In The Process

It's all about Mariah.

Mariah May defeated Toni Storm to capture the AEW Women's World Championship at AEW All In. It was a bloody bout, just as both women promised, with Mariah May getting busted open by a Storm Zero piledriver on the steel steps. Along the way to winning the championship, Mariah May even slapped her own mother, who was in the front row. Fortunately, Mariah's mother was able to find comfort in Toni Storm's bosom.

The match also featured Luther's return, who was back in Storm's corner for the first time since the night of Mariah's betrayal. Mina Shirakawa was also in the audience.

The end of the match came when Storm was too overcome with emotion to use the heel of the shoe that May had used on her when she initially turned on her after winning the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament. Instead, May was able to counter another Storm Zero attempt into a pinning combination for the victory.

After the match, Storm appeared briefly distraught before taking him the adulation of her adoring crowd in Wembley Stadium. Storm had a good reason to be emotional as she was championing for 281 days and defended the championship seven times since winning it at AEW Full Gear 2023. Along the way, she defeated the likes of Riho, Deonna Purrazzo, Thunder Rosa, and more good

Fightful has not received confirmation of RJ City crying during the match, but he did suggest that he would during the AEW All In: Zero Hour.
