Despite the loss, Jericho felt vindicated and said that he wanted a rematch. Jericho said that he was going to become a two-time champion just like Jay Briscoe.

Mark immediately responded, saying that Jericho would pay for once again invoking Jay's name. Mark accepted Jericho's challenge, saying he'll defend the ROH World Title in a Ladder War against Jericho on the October 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite.
