Mark Briscoe puts over Kyle Fletcher as a future star in AEW x ROH.
Mark Briscoe is a Ring of Honor Hall of Famer who still embodies the pride of the Ring of Honor's original spirit in his every move. Briscoe is currently the Ring of Honor World Champion and a major star on All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor programming.
During an interview on the Battleground Podcast, Briscoe was recently asked who the future of Ring of Honor could be. Briscoe singled out Kyle Fletcher, someone he's already defended his championship against, as a talent with all of the makings of a top star, even if he admits that, at this point, Fletcher is more of an AEW name than purely Ring of Honor.
"As far as breakout star in, I mean, in Ring of Honor, I mean, man, that's a tough question because there's so much young talent. There's so much, so much young, hungry talent," Briscoe said. "I'm trying to think here about guys who are exclusive and who haven't really crossed over into AEW too much. But I mean, like a guy a couple months ago I wrestled. I'd say he's probably considered an AEW guy by now, but a guy that I wrestled for the title, for the Ring of Honor Title on HonorClub a couple months ago because he pinned me on Dynamite was Kyle Fletcher. Kyle Fletcher is 100% a blue chip, five-star prospect, and he's just starting to really make waves and really just show what he can do. So, man, keep an eye on Fletcher for sure."
Kyle Fletcher recently took his largest step as a singles competitor when he betrayed Will Ospreay at AEW WrestleDream, helping Konosuke Takeshita capture the AEW International Championship.
Both Fletcher and Mark Briscoe are expected to appear on the October 23 episode of AEW Dynamite. Briscoe will defend the Ring of Honor World Championship against Chris Jericho in a Ladder War. Learn more here.
