Masha Slamovich Ranks As #15 In The 2023 PWI 500, Becomes Highest Ranked Woman In PWI 500 History

Masha Slamovich makes history yet again.

On Thursday, September 14, 2023, the digital version of the PWI500 was released to the public. Members of the ranking committee appeared on Busted Open Radio and revealed the top ten to the world, which included stars like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, MJF, Gunther, and many more.

IMPACT Wrestling's Masha Slamovich barely missed out on the top ten, as she ranked as #15 on the list, placing higher than other top stars like Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, and Bobby Lashley.

PWI's Kristen Ashly took to social media and celebrated Slamovich's ranking in this year's list, as she is now officially the highest ranked woman in PWI 500 history.

In 2021, Pro Wrestling Illustrated began including women on the PWI500 list, but only women who compete against both male and female opponents or hold a championship that has primarily been held by men in the past. Outside of IMPACT Wrestling, Slamovich is a former GCW World Champion, and she often competes men on the independent scene.

The 2022 PWI Women's 250, a list that only includes women, was released in October 2022. The release date for the 2023 edition of the ranking is currently unknown.

Fightful would like to send a special congratulations to Slamovich on achieving this major feat in the world of wrestling.
