Matt Cardona: Current WWE Intercontinental Title Look Is Horrible, I'd Switch It Back

Matt Cardona wants to bring back the old Intercontinental Championship.

Gunther is officially the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all-time, holding the title for over 460 days.

Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder in WWE) doesn't have the record for the shortest IC Title reign ever, but his one reign lasted one day in 2016.

Speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Cardona was asked about Gunther's reign.

“I would say itd be cool to be the shortest reign versus the longest reign. But I’m not the shortest reign. I think Dean Douglas might have that. Man, imagine that story, coming back to win back my championship. Then I’d switch it back to the other title because this one sucks. It’s horrible. It looks horrible. It’s not cool. It’s not toyetic. I don’t like it," he said.

Cardona had the famous white strap IC Title for his 24 hour reign.

Dean Douglas (Shane Douglas) held the title for minutes in 1995, taking the vacated title from Shawn Michaels, but immediately losing it to Razor Ramon (Scott Hall).

Elsewhere during the interview, Cardona discussed a potential match against KSI or MrBeast. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
