Matt Cardona Jokingly Says He's One-Half Of The WWE Women's United States Champion

Does this make Matt Cardona a two-time champion?

At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, Chelsea Green defeated Michin to become the inaugural WWE Women's United States Championship. Their match marked the finals of a tournament to crown the first champion. After the bout, Green said she was going to Disneyland.

On December 15, Matt Cardona, Green's husband, shared a picture of the two at Disneyland. In the picture, Cardona is proudly holding the WWE Women's United States Championship. Cardona wrote that he was one-half of the WWE Women's United States Champion.

Cardona made a similar joke when Green won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship in 2023, and he even brought the title with him to his DDT Pro-Wrestling debut.

Kidding aside, Cardona and Green are technically the first couple to win the WWE United States Championship. Cardona won the WWE United States Championship in 2011 during his run as Zack Ryder.

Cardona is set to compete for a title of his own. He will challenge Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship at ROH Final Battle on December 20. Check out the card here.
