Matt Hardy and Matt Cardona will clash at GCW Homecoming Night Two.
At GCW Now And Forever on August 2nd, Matt Hardy made his GCW debut when he faced Nick Gage. The match marked Gage's return to the ring, as he had not wrestled since June 22nd.
As soon as the bell rang, Matt Cardona came out and wondered who "booked this shit." He said that Matt Hardy was way too good for GCW. He highlighted Hardy's impressive career and proceeded to call Gage a criminal, as he said that he had been to jail. Cardona said that Hardy did not want to wrestle Gage, as he was better than him. He offered to "delete" this match from ever happening.
Hardy fired back by noting that he had been to jail, too, and pointing out that the crowd loved Gage. He called Gage the heart and soul of GCW and said it would be an honor to wrestle him. Hardy also said that Cardona could go "fuck himself."

The match then began as scheduled, and Hardy and Gage felt each other out. Gage gained the advantage with a DDT on the floor. Hardy responded by sending Gage into the steel barricade. Gage took control and brought some chairs and a door into the ring. Hardy then dropped Gage with a Side Effect. Gage answered with a spine-buster, but Hardy threw a chair at his face.
Hardy put Gage through a door with a diving elbow drop. Gage rallied and dropped Hardy with his own Twist of Fate. Gage spiked Hardy onto some chairs with a piledriver. Cardona and Broski Jimmy ran in and attacked Gage and Hardy. Gage ducked when Jimmy threw a chair at him, so he accidentally hit Cardona. Hardy then dropped Cardona with a Twist of Fate.

Hardy grabbed a microphone and accused Cardona of being drunk with power and robbing the fans of a clear finish. Hardy then challenged Cardona and Broski Jimmy to face him and Hardy at GCW Homecoming Night Two. He said that he and Gage would be MDK, Murder Delete Kill. Hardy told Gage he respected him and said he was the man. Gage vowed to make Cardona bleed. Cardona accepted the challenge. Gage also made it clear that he wanted a rematch with Hardy.

GCW then confirmed the tag team match for GCW Homecoming Night Two. The bout will mark Cardona's return to the ring, as he has been out of action due to a torn pec.
