Maven Recalls Being The First Person To Take An F5 From Brock Lesnar, 'It Was A Piece Of Cake'

Maven says he's honored to have taken the first F5 from Brock Lesnar.

Maven was a WWE Superstar from 2001 to 2005 and was involved in a few big-time moments in WWE history. In 2002, he became the first Superstar to take an F5 from Brock Lesnar during his debut segment on the episode of WWE Monday Night Raw after WWE WrestleMania 18.

Speaking in a video on his YouTube channel, Maven described what it was like to take the first-ever finisher from the "Beast Incarnate."

"I happily would be the first person to ever take his legendary move, the F5. Taking the F5 [that] would be the only F5 I would take in my career. Easy, easy move to take. It was just basically a facepalm. Brock does all the work. The rotation is what makes it look so devastating. What makes it such a great move is for Brock; it's picturesque because it shows his strength, but for the person taking it, it's a piece of cake. It didn't hurt one bit. He threw me like I was a child. I didn't assist him at all. Like at all. I didn't spring off anything. That's literally just how strong this man was," said Maven. "I'm happy to have a small moment in that part of history and a part of the business that would usher in a new megastar."

Another move that Maven had no problem taking was Randy Orton's RKO. Read his comments on that move here.

Chris Jericho's Walls of Jericho is on the opposite end of that spectrum. Fans can read Maven's comments on taking the Walls of Jericho at this link.
