Meiko Satomura announces her upcoming retirement.
Meiko Satomura officially announced that she will retire in April 2025, which will mark the 30th anniversary of her professional debut. Her retirement bout will take place at Korakuen Hall.
Meiko, who is currently signed to WWE, said she will compete she in a number of Sendai Girls matches beginning in September.

Meiko is set to face Bayley at the July 27th WWE live event in Japan.
Meiko is considered by many fans and peers to be a pioneer of women's wrestling and has competed in Stardom, WCW, Sendai Girls, NJPW, and more organizations throughout her career.
She signed with WWE in 2020 and competed in NXT UK, winning the NXT UK Women's Championship during her time with the brand.
