After his death, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation about Lawler's death but one Memphis attorney named Jeff Rosenblum told FOX 13 that the Lawler family should demand a lot out of the investigations.

"Most suicides are preventable, and most suicides in confinement are and should be prevented," said Rosenblum. "I want to see the log books. I want to talk to the inmates I want to get statements from those inmates, get statement from them to make sure that is an accurate statement," he added.

Rosenblum who has experience with cases regarding harm to inmates in correctional facilities said the Lawler family should look into a independent investigation to get all the answers.

Jerry Lawler has not said much about the investigation but did tell FOX 13 there "may be more to this than meets the eye" but he reserved further comment until the investigation is over.
